Wonderville and NEON194, both taking around 10,000 sq ft of space, are equally unique, expanding the vibrant experiential leisure offer in the UK’s iconic cultural centre.
These latest signings demonstrate The Crown Estate’s ambition to evolve its offer to reflect consumers changing needs, making its places more relevant for more people - from residents and commuters, to businesses and visitors. Key to this ambition is creating new and vibrant spaces, with a diverse mix of brands.
Located in the former Planet Hollywood on Haymarket, Wonderville’s offers an unrivalled experience of theatre, food and drink. Following a smash-hit season at the Palace Theatre, Wonderville has taken a short term residency in a unique venue designed to take visitors on a breath-taking journey of magic, cabaret and hospitality. The magic and illusion show captivated audiences, and in its new location, will continue to entertain and delight.
At 194 Piccadilly, NEON194 will have a dynamic social space for exhibitions, events, launches, broadcasts and performances. Created and developed by Cymon Eckel, the concept will be split across two floors and provide a hub for creative communities. A cross cultural platform, including café and workspace with curated exhibitions by day, and by night there is live music, comedy, theatre with a developing, and ever growing schedule of activities.
These announcements follow the opening of Casa do Frango, the popular Portuguese Piri-Piri chicken concept from hospitality group MJMK, who will be opening its first central London location this week on Heddon Street.
Heddon Street, located just off London’s iconic Regent Street, continues to strengthen its names as a leading foodie neighbourhood in the capital, with further new names to be announced over the next few months.
Sarah Parish, Customer Partnership Manager for London at The Crown Estate, said: “As an iconic global destination, the West End needs bold spaces that adapt and evolve, are relevant and exciting, so we can continue to reflect what is important to everyone who uses our spaces - tourists, commuters, residents and businesses. Both new signings will support this, bringing an innovative new offer, and continuing to make the West End the special place it is.”
