The Crown Estate welcomes four flagship stores to London's West End
The Crown Estate, the landowner and custodian of buildings along Regent Street and across St James’s, continues to bolster London’s West End offer as a global lifestyle destination with the announcement of four new flagship stores opening in Autumn 2023. The lettings span more than 10,000 sq ft of new retail space.
Spanish women’s fashion brand Bimba Y Lola has just opened a new 4,000 sq ft store at 211-213 Regent Street, showcasing carefully curated collections, a brand showroom and a programme of events, making it the brand’s most active flagship globally. Paul & Shark, the casual Italian clothing brand founded in 1975, has opened a 2,500 sq ft store at 233 Regent Street today (25 September). This is the brand’s only UK store, marking its return to the UK high street.
Designer trainer brand, Hoff, is also opening its UK flagship store at 205 Regent Street as it makes its debut on British shores. The store is expected to open in October 2023. Elsewhere on the famous street, global lifestyle brand, UGG, has upsized its Central London flagship location to 2,600 sq ft at 78 Regent Street, having previously occupied a smaller flagship on Glasshouse Street.
Alongside these new flagships, an innovative new pop-up has recently opened its doors. Luxe Dressing, the only luxury consignment shopping experience in Mayfair and the West End, recently started welcoming shoppers at 4 Conduit Street. The brand has taken 1,550 sq ft of space across two floors for an initial period of six months, giving fashion-lovers an opportunity to keep up with the latest trends in a sustainable way at an affordable price. By giving pre-loved designer pieces a new life, Luxe Dressing significantly reduces fashion waste and its environmental impact.
Leanne Catterall, Customer Partnership Director, Lifestyle, comments: “Welcoming our latest collection of stores to the West End has created new opportunities for our visitors to enjoy the area’s exceptional lifestyle offer. We are committed to curating the very best retail experience, complementing the food, drink and cultural attractions on offer throughout the West End. Our aim is to create a day-to-night destination with a seamless, thriving eco-system of businesses that support one another. This latest announcement marks another step in our long-term strategy to keep the West End exciting, welcoming, accessible and inclusive.”
Jose Manuel Martinez, CEO of Bimba Y Lola, said: “This opening on Regent Street brings Bimba Y Lola to one of the most relevant fashion showcases in the world and is therefore a big step in our journey to become a truly global brand.”
Andrea Dini, CEO of Paul&Shark, said: “The opening of the Paul&Shark flagship store at Regent Street in London marks another important step for the brand, it’s an operation I strongly believe in, both from a commercial and image point of view.
“After careful consideration we managed to find a prestigious location in the heart of the shopping district, a space of nearly 250 square metres which perfectly reflects the DNA of the brand, a skilful balance between heritage and innovation, keeping our core value in mind: sustainability.
“Over 80% of the materials used are recycled, such as the panels made using fabrics deriving from production waste and which have reached the end of their life cycle.
“For us London, and the whole of the UK, is a key market that we are investing in and we will keep investing in, both from a communication and commercial perspective.”
