Oliver Smith, Executive Director, Operations

Oliver Smith joined The Crown Estate in 2008, and is a member of our Group Leadership team as Executive Director of Operations.

In this role, Oliver oversees The Crown Estate’s Change programme and works closely with the Chief Executive to deliver our strategy. He is also responsible for a number of Group functions including Health and Safety and Wellbeing; Security and Resilience; Legal and Company Secretariat; and Risk and Assurance.

Previously, Oliver was Head of the St James's portfolio, around 4 million sq ft of retail, office and residential space. He was responsible for delivery of the St James's portfolio's strategy, including our regeneration programme to enhance and refine the area, and preserve its important 300-year heritage.

Oliver was formerly with Jones Lang LaSalle and has a first-class degree in Real Estate Management from Nottingham Trent University.
